Danny Day Five

DAY 5: This is a VIDEO BLOG of my journey to 199 pounds!


Well day 5 is here and I'm feeling a little down... It may be because it's Friday the 13th or it may be because I'm tired of eating like a RABBIT!

Some days you're going to get discourage and before that happens, remember why you're trying to change... Picture yourself at the perfect weight, in the perfect house or with the perfect partner.

As you get a clear picture in your mind, make the pictures move, see yourself running down your street at the weight or driving in the car of your color or going on a picnic in a park while playing on the swings with that special someone.

You see, if you make a movie in your head, it will be easier to hold that image and easier to recall that image...

So be discouraged if you have too, just don't stay discouraged. And for more help on setting goals and beginning with the end in mind, which is what Stephan Covey taught, check back on Day 8 where I'll have some tools to help you!

I've read more of the chapter Getting Real About You and Your Weight from page 13 to page 16 in the book by Dr. Phil called "The Ultimate Weight Solutions." Dr. Phil gave an overview of the last 4 keys of the 7 keys to weight loss freedom:

Key Four: Mastery Over Food and Impulse Eating

Key Five: High-Response Cost, High-Yield Nutrition

Key Six: Intentional Exercise

Key Seven: Your Circle of Support


Speaking of "Circle of Support..." My wife Cindy had a GREAT dinner ready for me tonight! She is super skinny and doesn't need to change, but she is willing to help me and I really appreciate her... I think she is excited about having the "Old Danny" back. Thanks Cindy! ( 3 8 1 )
